On X, impressions are public, so measure against them
Calculate X engagement rate from likes, replies, and reposts. X publishes impression counts, so you can measure against what people saw, not just followers.
Benchmarks vary by platform. Twitter / X typical: 1 to 3% is solid.
Enter follower count and at least one interaction to calculate.
Track what you publish
WriteOnce analytics shows views and engagement on live posts.
Enter followers and interactions for the standard rate, or put the post's impression count in the followers field to get the impression-based rate X users actually quote.
Both run locally. Nothing is stored, and no account connection is needed.

X is unusual in showing impression counts publicly on every post, which means you are not stuck with followers as a denominator. Entering impressions instead of followers gives you the rate that people on X actually compare: interactions divided by the number of times the post was seen.
The two numbers answer different questions and land in different ranges. Follower-based rates on X are typically well under 1% for accounts of any size, because a post rarely reaches most of its followers. Impression-based rates commonly sit between 1 and 5%, so do not compare one against the other or you will conclude your account collapsed overnight.
Replies are the interaction worth watching. A reply costs the reader far more effort than a like and tends to precede the reach that follows a post being picked up, so a post with a low like count and an unusually high reply count is often doing better than the headline number suggests. Reposts sit in the middle, and bookmarks, where you can see them, behave much like Instagram saves.
The other thing impressions expose is timing. Two posts with similar engagement rates but very different impression counts usually differ in when they were published rather than in what they said, which is an argument for a consistent posting schedule rather than for rewriting the copy.

Impressions, when you have them, because X shows the count on every post. Put the impression number into the followers field above. Expect roughly 1 to 5% on impressions against well under 1% on followers.
