Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and WriteOnce ("WriteOnce", "we", "us"). They govern your access to and use of the WriteOnce website, app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. WriteOnce is a social media cross-posting tool. You write a post once, attach images or video, and WriteOnce publishes or schedules it to the social accounts you connect: Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Reddit and Bluesky. Publishing happens through each platform's official API via our publishing partner, upload-post. The Service also includes scheduling, drafts, a media library and analytics for your connected accounts.

You need an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and take responsibility for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or older where local law requires), and old enough to hold accounts on the platforms you connect. One person or entity per account. You may not share, transfer or resell access.

You connect your social accounts through our publishing partner, upload-post, on their hosted connection page. By connecting an account you authorize WriteOnce and upload-post to publish the content you create, on your instruction, to that account. Your relationship with each social platform stays governed by that platform's own terms, and connecting it through WriteOnce does not change that. You can disconnect a platform at any time from your dashboard, or by revoking access in the platform's own security settings (for YouTube, in your Google account security settings).

You own everything you create and upload. You grant WriteOnce and its processors a limited license to host, store, process and transmit your content solely to operate the Service: storing your media, scheduling your posts and delivering them to the platforms you chose. This license ends when you delete the content or your account. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you post, and for making sure your posts comply with each platform's rules and applicable law.

Do not use the Service to: post content that is unlawful, infringing, deceptive or harmful; send spam or run coordinated inauthentic behavior; violate the terms or content policies of any connected platform; probe, overload or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or resell or provide the Service to third parties without our consent. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

Paid plans (Creator, Growth and Pro, billed monthly or yearly) start with a 7 day free trial. Payments are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. WriteOnce never sees or stores your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, partial periods are not refunded. Prices may change with reasonable advance notice.

You can delete your account at any time from your settings. Deletion is confirmed by email. Once confirmed, we remove your posts, drafts, media, connected account records and your publishing profile at upload-post. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where practicable.

The Service depends on third party platforms and providers, including the social networks you connect, upload-post, Cloudflare and Polar. We do not control them. Platforms change their APIs, rate limits and policies, and a post accepted by WriteOnce may still be rejected or removed by a platform. We are not responsible for the availability, decisions or content of any third party service.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that every post will publish successfully on every platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WriteOnce will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or 50 USD if you paid nothing.

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. If a change is material, we will give notice before it takes effect, for example by email or a notice in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
